12946 miles and missing a year by a month and a half.  uglystupid2 Those stock Honda bushings were pliable when i installed them.  Smiley They came out brittle and hard and nicely toasted.  Lips Sealed I've got the V T X bushings in there now so we shall see. I know i know-didn't have the cash for Garys when they were available.  tickedoff If i can get another season out of the V T X bushings maybe someone will be offering something very similar to what Gary did. cooldude We can only hope. Cool RIDE SAFE.

Try these they seem to be working well for me other than a few squeaks now and then.

Check out the VTX1800 shock bushings (part number 52489-MW3-305).  They are dark green in color and when i put my 416s on my IS, they still looked good at about 30k miles.

Gary's bushings were no better than the VTX bushings, in my experience.  I wore out two sets of Gary's bushings.

my bushings wore out at about 75000 mi. instead of buying new ones I had a piece of teflon that was the same size OD as the bushings.I drilled the proper size hole an with a bench grinder gruond a groove in the center of the outside so that it would fit tight in the shock .It didn't cost me anything except the price of the teflon.I now have 130000 miles on the bike an will be doing the same thing again soon.It just a bushing an it dosen't take  a rocket scientist to figure out how to make a set and the teflon is tough stuff.
