Anyone have any experience with a Condor trailer stop?
I bought one at an auction the other day. I mounted it on a sheeet of 3/4 inch piece of plywood.
My thoughts where to use it in the garage to park the bike, and being it would not lean over make it easier to clean & just mess with.
After getting the project done today and parking the bike the first time, I was hesitant to get off, not sure it would hold it up. Well it did, in fact I shook it rather good and it stayed.
I then tried to back it out, well it fit so good I could not get it to hinge over so I could back the bike out.
So I left it for now, but I have been back out to check to make sure it's still upright 3 times already tonight. Just don't trust it.
Any body ever use one? And any ideas on getting it to back out of the cradle? Don't want to ask the wife to help!

If you're talking about this one:

I have it and park/store the Valk in it all the time. Never had any problem. I park it, work on it, clean it, everything while it's in the chock.

If it's the black Condor without the "outrigger", I think with the plywood base it would make it secure.

As far as getting them out, your pivot needs adjusted. Move it one hole forward at a time then try it, till it comes out relatively easy.

That's it, good to know it works. What's the trick to getting it back out? Do I have it adjusted wrong, it's in the last hole.

Sorry, I was editing (adding that part) while you were typing.

The front wheel should not be all the way on the "ground" in the chock, the tire should be cradled in the pivoting arm. Hope that last sentence makes sense. It's hard to explain.

Basically just move the pivot arm forward a hole at a time until it becomes easy to pull it out of the chock.

Scooby, I have been using one for 3 years in my trailer.  I pull my Valkyrie around the country as I go from Mall construction job to another.  While on location in various towns, I rest the Valkyrie in the Condor chock without reservation and without straps.  My Valkyrie never wavers even in wind storms that tend to wiggle the trailer.  The condor is a great device, and reliable.

Next stop..............Minnetonka, MN (brrrrrrr)

I also have used the same model Condor as shown above with my past Susuki Intruder and my present Valk. It really is a quality unit and now it's mainly used when I trailer the trike for servicing or out of state. Very secure!!!  cooldude

Hey Greg
One of our warmest years around MN, it will not be bad for you.

I have the Harbor Freight one that comes up in the back so I am no help with the Condor.

Checked mine this morning when I left for work. I am one hole forward from the back-most one. Have no problems getting the valk in and out. Avon Cobra front tire of OEM size.

I bought a H/F Chock that I mounted to a 18" X 72" plywood, hinged in the middle. Drove on the "chock" and locked in fine. Bike stood up with no lean. Time to remove and the SOB would not release the Valk. After calling wife for pulling help to remove Valk. from said "CHOCK" I found that I had some how put the bike in grear.  crazy2 After going to nurteral, no problem. These chocks will hold most bikes upright W/O a problem, but check closely.  Wink

I did almost exactly the same thing, but I used a 12" X 72" shelving board to mount mine to.  I needed the room in the garage, because my IS leans so far over on the sidestand.  I had to get it VERY close to the Wing to be able to walk beside the Valk after putting it on the sidestand.
Here is a pic before I got the HF Chock installed.

The Condor as shown in the above picture is a quality unit...it just needs to be adjusted to the correct position.  Bought mine at the NY Int'l show 3 years ago and it was a good buy.  I use it for the Valk and the Rocket without worry.

Good luck and enjoy...
