Sounds great now. Wonder how the service will be in 5 years.

It's been up and running for 13 years... being sold to business for 10... being sold to residence for 5.

I'd say it will still be good in 5 more years!   cooldude

Unfortunately, I live 2 miles outside of the Lafayette city limits, so I can't have it.   tickedoff

On a side note... ever since the judges started overturning COX and AT&T complaints, my internet service has gotten better and better (currently using COX).  Plus, when I ask a question, I actually GET customer service!!!  It's amazing what a little competition can do.

Thank you LUS!!! (Lafayette Utilitiy Service - the ones who did all that work.)

When living in Florida we had overlapping trash pickup and overlapping cable companies. They competed hard, gave great service and our bills were low. The local governments got involved and gave one contract to a single trash company and they forbid the cable companies from lowering their charges to compete in overlapping areas.
tickedoff You know what happened to our great service and low prices don't you.  tickedoff

It's the law of unintended consequences at work.
