I don't mean this as an insult (I'm genuinely curious as to whether or not it's generational or whether it has something to do with a rider's background) but is the IoM really news to so many of you guys? In the circles I travel in it's about the most revered racing event in the world, but most of my riding buddies came from motocross and sportbikes in their younger days so we would tend to pay a lot of attention to roadracing. I realize that not everyone got into the "sport" the same way I did.

Boxer rebellion, the Holy Child. They all pay their rent. But none together can testify to the rhythm of a road well bent. Saddles and zip codes, passports and gates, the Jones' keep. In August the water is trickling, in April it's furious deep.

1) Link to video 2) positive comment about subject of video
Anvil, what about either of those says, "I only recently discovered this and it's breaking news to all!"
But ya, we get it... you've been around a really, really, really long time and were a part of the sportbike scene since even before wheels were round. Congrats.
Thanks Trynt, good bike videos never get old.

That is just unbelievable, to do that you have to be way on top of your game. Just watching it I cringe. that was good. Anvil different strokes for different folks, There is alot of diversity on this board but not everyone is glued to the same path as you. There is so much that you dont know or haven't experienced in other things in life maybe this is one area you could share.

I've been aware of the IoM since before you drew breath. I received the video link in an email and thought it was worth sharing.

I,ve been keeping track of the Isle of Mann since Mike Hailwood was unbeatible there, a lot of the bikes were thumpers then. Mostly all european machines, if I recall correctly. Way before video was in use. They used to run newsreels of it during movie intermissions. Mom used to drop us kids off there while she shopped when we came in from the farm. Hoser

Good post I just spent the last hour researching the "Isle of Man" Binged images, location and history. I really didn't know much about it although it appears to be a very unique place. I'd like to see it someday.
