Interesting.  Where was the shot taken?  Looks like a reflection of someone standing at a level lower than the guy sitting.   Angles can be fun.

It’s kinda simple actually.  The clear area is a lens, anytime that you hold a lens in front of you the image that you’re looking at is inverted.  If you look at the woman (homely yes) you will see her legs at the bottom of the lens ‘cause that section is not a complete lens with the center section that the inverted image is in…..  the kid on the left is in a red glass section, not a lens just red glass, so his image wont be inverted.  The whole piece rotates making the light “flash” as it gets into your view far out at sea.  So, no you don’t have a ghost, just an ugly lady….
