or any of the other oil filters we commonly use? The 12 oz. Coors Light can is too skinny for the 7317, as are most of the others. I don't drink enough different brews to know the fatter cans. Thanks

I am using Gennessee  cream ale can.  Bought a case and found one that either wasnt filled or leaked.  Didn't have to waste any beer.

I cut the bottom off of a Budweiser can once and used it for an oil filter cover.  Worked great....and matched my red & white.

Dont get a to long of a can, it may hit your fender or mud flaps. I knocked a few studs off my flaps this way. Had to shorten a reg can.

I have to change it every 3k miles.

Why would you use a light beer on a Valk?

I use a Yuengling Black and Tan, shortened, and drained from teh bottom so as to save the intact pop top. Folks are always asking why it is there and my usual answer is "It's what the bike runs on..."

If I could only find some carling black label to match my black and red IS....

The "Bud Lime" can matched my irradium green (VTX color) on the Valk real well. Unbelievable how many comments you get for the beer can.

Stay COORS stay AMERICAN, cut the 12 oz Coors can down the center and put that side up and stick a scrap part of the can on the cut side. Works great.

Sorry to say... Coors, and Anheiser-Busch are both foreign owned.... Labatts and InBev......

So every time you have a Bud light you are paying an European Conglomerate..... Coors money goes to Canada

Black Label was brewed in the USA (in Frankemuth, Michigan for awhile) until the 70's now its only in Canada

Miller Products and those brands they own, such as Miller, PBR and Stroh's are still owned and brewed in USA,

You want to support a true American brewer, Yuengling is the oldest american brewer and make Hella good beer.....

Umm... Why even ask the question here?  This is a perfect opportunity to organize a tech session with your local VRCC members and experiment with many different types of empty cans on many different Valkyrie filters.  Afterwards, call their wives to come pick up their scientists, then report your results the next day.

I find that an MGD can works well. So as not to pollute the "environment", I usually grab a cold one and put two punches in the bottom-one for air intake and one for exhaust...down my throat!

When emptied, I take a pair of scissors and neatly cut the BOTTOM of the can out. The can then slides right on the filter with the unopened top still intact.

Note: sometimes I don't get the cut just right and have to go through several cans till I'm satisfied.   Grin

Iron City can works great over the Pure One. I had to sand the rough finish on the filter a little to get it slide on. I cut off the bottom of the can then trimmed it to matched the length of the filter. With this fitting so snug I drilled a small hole in the top to break the vacuum so I can remove it. The red and black on the can matches my red and white 97. This simple little add has been quite a conversation piece with the Harley guys at the different events we attend here in NC. Not to mention it compliments my Steelers decal on the windshield.

http://drinkamerican.us/faq/59-who-owns-what-beers.html

Molson owns Coors, now called Molson Coors.
As far as I know Molson is Canadian, Eh!
Can't be all that sure anymore, everything has become so much more global.

In Victoria, we have a number of Micro breweries that make awesome beer, so I only drink local beer when I can.

I use a local beer called RaceRocks Amber Ale, as my oil filter can.  coolsmiley

Hey Thanks, I didnt realize that Miller and Coors had merged... And my post was also more incorrect....

Pabst owns the Strohs and other labels Hielman, Hamms, and many others.... they contract brew with Miller - Pabst does not own any breweries any more....

And I had the incorrect Canadian overlord....
Thats what I get for posting under the influence.....

Well something new everyday. I didn't know Coors was locally (Canadian) owned. Maybe I wont avoid it any more for being a US brand.

But then, like Glenn, I seem to drink the local BC Breweries the most. One I like the best for the flavor is Wild Cat. Most kids drink it for the alcohol content, 7.?%

Miller Brewing is owned by SABMiller (South African Breweries)
Coors is owned by Molsen Breweries.
In 2008 they agreed on a joint venture for North America "only" called MillerCoors
Budweiser sold to Interbrew (Imbev) a Belgum based Brewer.

I Worked for AB for 25 years till retirement in 2003

BTW....Sam Adams is a damn good beer and is brewed here is the USA!!!!

I don't think Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (made in Chico, CA) comes in cans or I would try that.
