All of us guys should get together and do a group ride to Inzane it would be fun. We could make it a Two day trip and take it easy. There are a bunch of us in Alabama with Valkyries. Its not that far! I see that I am the only one from Alabama signed-up what are you waiting for, you have the invitation so accept it and sign-up!!! I would like to get everyones E-mail, name, and phone number also your location so we could do a ride or two, to warmup for Inzane.

A bunch from Florida will be going through Alabama on Sat the 21st. If nothing else, you are more than welcome to join us, looks like we are taking 280 from Columbus Ga,to Birmingham, then picking up 78 from there to Memphis .

I've got a small group leaving Knoxville, Tennessee on saturday morning 7-21....We are hookin' up with another small group just west of Nashville around 1:00....From there we are all ridin' down to Memphis,Tennessee to stay near one of the nation's top BBQ joints for the night....Sunday 7-22 we plan to take a nice ride and stay off the super slab as much as possible getting close to Ground Zero but more than likely staying a few miles out to save a few buck$....Anyone wanting to hook up in Knoxville / Nashville / Memphis know you are welcome to join us  cooldude

I'm gonna' try to go too. I hate making definate plans so far in advance because they're always subject to getting changed for me. If I do go, I'm sure I'll have to find another place close to ground zero too, and then I don't know if I'll be staying all week. I've met a few other Valkers at the bike nights on Beale street, but I haven't seen any post on here - maybe by the time IZ gets here I can find out if some more are going to go.
As far as the BBQ around here goes, everyone has they're favorite - just depends on how you like it.
Hopefully as that Saturday night rolls around, I'll be able to meet up with some of you for dinner and maybe ride to IZ. Sunday. We'll see. If I can help anyone coming through here with anything let me know - my info is on the members board.   John

John do you know of a decent motel that is close ( walking distance ) to Interstate Bar-B-Que ? Address is ... 2265 S. Third Street
Memphis, Tennessee 38109

The other location is at 150 W. Stateline Road
Southaven, Missisippi....Either one will work as long as it has a decent place to stay over-night and close to the restaurant.

No - not in walking distance or really close riding distance either - prolly not a good idea to be walking around that part of town at night anyway. Closest "decent" hotels will either be dowtown (pricey) or down in Southaven Ms. on Goodman Rd. There are other good ones just as you get in to Memphis (out east) or some others in Millington Tn., just north of Memphis. I've lived here almost all my life and know this area well, but I haven't stayed at hotels around here much. You might can do a search by the price range your wanting around the areas I listed. I could meet up with ya'll anywhere around here and get you to Interstate BBQ, or any other of the good ones around here. I would offer staying at my place but it's small (2 bdrm) and stuffed with alot of my junk right now, and it couldn't hold all you have coming. Let me know how I can help.   John

Yes, the Corky's out east on Germatown Rd. is not far off of I-40 and there are a few nice places to
stay around there. They would be around I-40 and Hwy. 64.

The best BBQ rib place in Memphis is the world famous "Renezvous" It's across the street from the Famous Peabody Hotel where the ducks live in the lobby and swim in a huge fountain. The Peabody is way too expensive to stay, but there are several motels around and you can ride the trolly car to the Rendezvous resturant.
I just checked there is an econo lodge 2 blocks from the renzvous and about 3 blocks from Beale street
