The Duc Man (son Andy) crested a blind hill on a local county road yesterday on the Ducati only to find a huge dump truck tailgate lying across the road. He managed to avoid it thankfully.

Remember to listen to the voice, he got that feeling and decided to slow down and it probably saved his bacon. He and I have been nearly paranoid lately after losing my brother and then my step-dad so close together and I guess it paid off.

Be careful out there.

Good job on the miss.

I ride expecting to find something ove the brow of a hill. So in anticpation of something going wrong I'll roll off the throttle a little and sit up straight which increases the line of sight over the brow of the hill.

2 notable cases. Make that 3.

Late at night 2 white horses

Late at night  I kerosene fueled road lamp

A frickin fire truck on my side of the road barreling towards me, lights flashing, no siren. If I'd been riding in the left of my lane I'd be dead.

I also tend to move to the right a little so that if someone is on my side of the road I've got a tad more wiggle room - of course this now brings me nearer to anyone pulling out of a driveway just over the brow of the hill.

Yep the "voice" will save you if you listen to it. I've had the urge to slow down on so many occasions I can't remember them all. I do know that I would not be alive if I had ignored the "voice".

My ignoring mine cost me a $151 speeding ticket a few weeks ago.  Shocked
