I recently posted in BigAl's thread and was surprised by how many took my words personally.

First, let me say that I sincerely apologize to those whom I offended.  My words were my own thoughts (poorly expressed) and do not in any way represent those of any others, most specifically the staff of the VRCC.

I did not wish to say that I wanted anyone to leave the forum.  Well, there is one, and it's not Big Al.  I did think Big Al might be headed in the direction of the other member who appears to only be on the board to complain about and criticize Valkyries and Valkyrie owners.  Al has not reached that point, nor have any of the folks that reacted to my post.

I guess what I failed to communicate is that the phrase "or is interested in" covers a lot of our friends here in the VRCC community who no longer ride Valkyries.

I'm posting this apology here so as to not further muddy the waters of Al's thread.

Again, I apologize.  My words were poorly chosen and poorly placed.  I regret and would remove the post, but to do so would leave the words of others orphaned.

Willow, I do not think most took offense, and as I said the winter has made the skin thin. I think most understood what you meant, and that it was not directed to any one person especially not Al. At least I did not see it that way

Willow, I believe I understood what you meant and I did not see it as wishing anyone to leave.  I have seen your comments on several posts and have admired your effort and ability to shut down rankor.  Sometimes even before it gets started.

Nobody is perfect.  If your words were not "perfect" for everyone this time, it makes you noless valuable to this board.

I understood you comment, agreed with and went on. No Problem

And I understand your new post and why you felt it was necessary.

As for an apology I do not feel it is necessary or called for but it is certainly ok to do so.

Sometimes it is easy to be misunderstood  and very difficult to get folks to understand just simple english.

Think that maybe Willow's post had anything to do with this locked thread?

http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,37920.0.html

Or perhaps the seeming constant (of late) accusations of calling everyone here a "Harley hater"...even when no one, not one person in some of these threads ever said anything derogatory, hateful or expressed anykind of hatred towards Harleys.....or perhaps saying that all Valkyries look alike with the insinuation that Harleys are somehow superior in that regard?  Maybe?  Nawwwwww.  Wouldn't happen here.    Roll Eyes

Willow,
See what happened here? Only the folks who were "offended" made the stink with all the posts. Look how many others just accepted it and went on with their business without chiming in... like me. There's way more people who completely understood what you said, and meant, than those who got all verbal about it. I saw no need for any apology. In the future you should just sit back and figure that the majority, who aren't saying anything, are on your side. I guess it's simpler not to jump in the fray sometimes.

I really dont know anyone here personally, so I am looking at the post in question with a neutral outlook.

In my eyes I did not see anything wrong with what was said by Willow, I read it several times to make sure somebody else was not seeing something I wasn't.  I never once read where anyone was told to leave this site, only the poster's opinion on what the site is dedicated to.

Maybe if someone was thinking it was a personal attack upon him he saw things differently.
