Anyone have a newer catalog with a red and white valkyie sitting on a motorcycle hoist?

Has anyone purchased this one for their Valks?
If so, is there anything else needed on the underside for alignment or protection.

Herc770,  I tried to find the "hoist" you were referring to in the Whitney catalog but couldn't find any pic with a Valkyrie. Therefore, I'll take a stab and ask if the pic I've included might be what you are referring to...or something similar.

If this pic resembles what you mean, it's a lift I've used for several yrs. Mine is a Larin brand lift. It works very well. I do use a lift adapter that's made out of square tubing. The adapter bolts to the bottom of the bike and helps stablize the bike to the rails of the lift. I also use ratcheting straps to help secure the bike to the lift eyelets.

If you do a search for lift adapters, many on here have made some from various thickness of wood; plywood, 2x4s, etc.

If you could be a little more specific about what you're looking for, or trying to do, please let us know. The VRCC tech board is filled with knowlegeable wrenchers who can help you out.

Unfortunaly your pick didn't show up on here.
The catalog I'm referring to has a 97 red and white Valkyrie lifted on it. The photo is a tease on the back cover

Sorry about that...I fixed the problem. The photo is restored in my first reply.

I'm pretty certain you'll need an adapter with that lift as you will with almost any motorcycle lift.

Got that H/F bright yellow lift and did my second service on my lady. coolsmiley No problem what so ever. Wink Built the wood lift adapter that is talked about on these pages. cooldude Couple of 1 inch ratchet straps-ease the lift down on the safety stop-it's all good. cooldude RIDE SAFE.
