Bloody Angle, Spotsylvania battlefield...

Just to brag on my SCV camp (Camp #40, Sons of Confederate Veterans, Samuel McGowan)... after years of
planning and work, we have erected and dedicated a monument to the McGowan Brigade troops who
defended "the Bloody Angle" at Spotsylvania in 1864 and "saved Lee's Army of Northern Virginia"...

Good looking monument.

I didn't know they had a mechanized Calvary in the civil war. Impressive.

I think so too, but that's an older monument to Noo Jersey Yankees who fought there... I futzed the

I think that's an SCV motorcycle rider club... I rode the Valkyrie with the "mechanized cavalry" in a
Christmas parade a couple of years ago...
