I am considering  the Pingel for my 98 tourer. Can anyone here tell me what model is best suited for the Valkyrie?
I have been looking at old posts but would like to get some fresh opinions.
Thanks  for any help, Eric

You have a choice of buying a Pingel with or with the vacuum. I bought the Pingel "without" the vacuum so I'd have one less hose to deal with. I don't know about you but that vacuum hose was the worst to re-attach. I ordered Model 1311-CH and installed it two weeks ago. Here's the URL.

http://pingelonline.com/powerflo.htm

The web site loads very slowly for some reason so be patient. You'll see on the web site that they have s few different styles but being that it's under our tanks and hardly visible, I went for the plain model.

I also have a quick disconnect installed for the fuel hose. Between having no vacuum hose and the quick disconnect fuel line, taking the tank off next time should be much easier!

I noticed that the Pingel screen is shorter than the stock petcock so your reserve may be a bit less. It's a slight bit wider making for a nice snug fit going in to the tank.

Hope this information helps.  Smiley

Ridgeman06,
I went with the 1311 CHV.  It has a vacuum shutoff just in case I forget.

I'm using the non-vac, for no particular reason. Had one on my first
Valk, on my current one, and I'll put one on my next one....if there
ever is a" next one". Smiley

I use the manual version along with an inline filter and a DanMarc electric fuel valve. Re. the reduced reserve, it definitely is an issue so I used the recommendation of another member and extended the pickup tube. I first went to a local hobby store with the Pingel in hand and found a fuel line used in models that just fit over the Pingel tube. Back in my shop, I laid the OEM and Pingel side by side and cut the extension at a length to match the length of the OEM, then soldered it to the Pingel tube. Now I have the same reserve capacity as the OEM, you just won't be able to use the Pingel filter, that's why I went to an inline filter.
