So exactly who made the rules for this here competition and what precisely would be cheating?

Definition of CHEAT

transitive verb

1: to deprive of something valuable by the use of deceit or fraud

2: to influence or lead by deceit, trick, or artifice

3: to elude or thwart by or as if by outwitting <cheat death>

intransitive verb

1
a : to practice fraud or trickery
b : to violate rules dishonestly <cheat at cards> <cheating on a test>

2: to be sexually unfaithful —usually used with on <was cheating on his wife>

3: to position oneself defensively near a particular area in anticipation of a play in that area <the shortstop was cheating toward second base>

— cheat·er noun

Precisely, Cheating, in this context, as defined in Webster's Dictionary, would fall under

intransitive verb
Definition 1b: to violate rules dishonestly <cheat at cards> <cheating on a test>

And I made the rules. Trust me, I used to be an Umpire.

lol! So did I.  As did I.   Smiley

I think in R.J.'s perspective to cheat would be definition 1.c - To operate in an advantageous manner unlike those employed by R.J., specifically to utilize a tool unavailable to R.J.   Smiley

Michael and Madison drove through the night and are there to care for her now.  She's out of the hospital now, but is to remain off the foot for eight (?) weeks.

I think Madison has posted an update and Connie will, no doubt, be keeping us apprised first hand now.

Thanks for the update Gunny.

When I broke both bones in my ankle area, 50 years ago I was to stay off of it for 12 weeks.     I didn't follow those orders, so it had to be operated on again.  That time I followed orders, and ended up in the 1st run on Korea.

Thanks again.   I do know it is the best weather predictor in the world.

Hey Lantern, what cha all do in Carolina fur a livin?

cursed old retired Cop wants to know.
Been away from a computer all weekend! It was nice.
RJ, my real title is Technical Services Supervisor - Electrical.  More common term is Electrical Drafting Supervisor.  I moved here to help get a new office moved into Power Plant Engineering.  Now I got to find the right mix of people that want to work my way and not "That's what we did at my last job."  It is a lot harder than I expected, but I don't back down from a challenge.

Been here a year, not ready to leave yet. Gotta hone my interview skills. Most people in this business want to do it the way they are paid.  It is the few that get into the office and then start with the attitudes that make it hard to be civil some days. I am not asking they do it MY way, but the way the company I work for asks them to in the documentation available.
Had a counterpart in another office give the design guides to an employee. The guy looked it over. Gave it back and said "F^&k your rules, I going to do it my way. "  Just trying not to hire that type of person.  It is hard to get "qualified" applicants in this area.  Unemployment may be in double digits, but a person that knows 3D modeling, those are around 2%.  When the rate gets that low, there is usually a working reason, not personal I hope, they are unemployed.

It is the same in all fields no matter how big or little the client base is.

If one told me to f**k the company's way, we would have a short conversation.

He/she would be told that is once, the next one will get you a written reprimand and the 3rd time you will get your walking papers, without and unemployment pay..

Okay, if you say so........    I had a steak one time in Missoula and it was nothing to brag about.    So in my travels I guess I kind of by passed MT.    Yellowstone, I been in there when it was on fire in 1988 I believe it was.     Was trapped on the road leading North out of Yellowstone into MT for 2 days.     Got kind of tired sleeping on the pavement under the bike on that trip in Yellowstone.

They opened the road for 10 minutes after the trap and you never saw 3 bikes shag arse like we did.   We stopped in Idaho that night.    We originally were in Cody, WY for a Rider Rally.

First mistake was stopping in Missoula Smiley Not my favorite place. If you were stuck for two days because of 88 fires you should of got a map. I lived hear then too been here my whole life and never heard of that happening then. I am sure there was a way around.

My old riding buddy had all the maps.    He was our navigator and Motel, eatin joint and what we see type of person.      He was a sexual intellect, also may he RIP.

We were headed for MT and got through this area with no trouble going up.    I can't tell ya how many miles we were from the border, but the fire jumped the road behind & in front of us big time.    We got caught in there with some fire fighters from MT.   Both sides of us was fire jumping back and forth across the road.   If we would of had a cage, I think they might have let us go on through at the beginning.

I know it was a little on the exciting side a couple of times.    When the fire got to jumping slowed down, they let us haul ass.    I don't know if we had an escape route or not, from the way the fire fighters talked I don't think we did.

At this point in the game I could care less, we all, firefighters and Frank & I,  got out unscathed and to me that was all we needed.    I know I said a few prayers in the fiasco.

those fires did travel fast I remember watching the sky glow at night to the south of me and it wasn't a all night sunset. I would of thought if fire that close they would of had road shut down long before you got there. Maybe they learned a few things that year. I thought you had mentioned you stopped in Manhattan and ate at the Oasis steak house a while back? I hope that was better than anywhere in missoula.

They never had too many roads shut down during that fire except when it would get across the roads on them, especially behind them.   They should have kept everyojne out of the area.     This if memory serves me correctly this was one of the HOT spots they had.

I always felt that they didn't think the fire would or could jump the road.   If that was the case it was a wake up call on them.

Oasis Steak House happened to be one of my calls on food.    Frank got a little pissed off since I made the call.     Like I said earlier, he was a sexual intellect and nobody knew as much about a topic as he did.    But for a riding partner, it was effortless on my part.    He made all the plans, got all the maps and worried about where we were going and etc.

When I 1st started riding with him, he planned how many miles we would ride everyday and make Motel reservations.     I Finally broke him of that habit.   If I saw something I wanted to stop and see, I did.    He rode about 40 miles down the road on me once before he noticed I wasn't behind him.    He was hollering his head off over the CB trying to find me.   He started back and I had came along behind and we met about 5 miles from where I stopped.

He is the one who pissed me off one time in Sturgis about a rock parking lot I pulled into for dinner.     He wasn't riding on no damn rock parking lot.  I said OK, pulled back on the road, I-90 and headed East, From Rapids City to Sioux Falls, SD, MGM saw very few miles under 100.    Got my best gas mileage that day, a whooping whole 17 to 23 MPG.    His poor little Yamaha couldn't keep up with MGM, he said it was because he was pulling a trailer.  He made it home about 4 hours after I did.    We didn't ride too much the next season, and finally he woke up to the problem.

Over the time we rode together, we put over 400K on various bikes together.

My old riding buddy was on a bag and you can bet your last dollar on it, he had a whole bunch of opinions.   Some good, some bad and some very very worthless.
