Since most of my posts have been here, I wil make my goodbyes here. The Valk has been a real hoot to ride. Bob came up from Florida today and paid me to take her down to sunny Florida.  I have been happy riding her, but my ankles and knees have not been happy with the weight.  Well, my weight and the bike.  So, it has been fun!  Have my eye on a truck and then a Magna possibly, maybe a super Magna.  Got to stay with Honda, just cause.......... never owned anything else.

Hope you get plenty of time in the saddle! Praying for less deaths in the motorcycle community for 2013.

Hey Green Boy, no need to leave just cause you don't have a Valk anymore.  Several people that post on the board have no Valk and make out just fine.
I suppose it could be hard to keep up with 2 boards, but you will be missed if you leave.

Here's to your new truck and a possible magna.

Good luck and safe winds.

Forget the truck. I found a 89 Corvette in fair shape. 20 ft paint job and needs a few things. Mostly interior fixes, but it is now a daily driver. Oh, yeah, new tires and wheels! Here is the ad.

Thanks RJ, I think I will enjoy the times when the top is down. Everyone should own a version of thier teenage dream car. Even if it is for a year or two, hopefully more. I can cross

Buy a Corvette

off my bucket list.

HayHauler,  let's just say I did not pay his full asking price. Nice guy that just had more toys than he could look over and wanted someone else to have fun with a pretty little red car.

Back in 1955 I was into Corvette's.    Bought a 55, drove it 2 years and traded for a 57, traded that for a 59, kept the 59 till I retired.   It staid in California.

I think it had like 169K on it, and the original motor.

I was working part time for Dudley Perkins Harley Davidson and his brother owned a Chevy Garage.      He sold all his units who worked for Dudley a whopping big discount off of Dealer Cost.    If you traded one back in he gave you book value and the whopping discount, so you could get a whopping Discount.

Be sure and put the top at least once a week.

Otherwise they have a tendency to crack and split where the top is wrinkled.

Hello Guys and Gals. Just checking in.

Hey Green Lantern. I agree with RJ and Hay. You doesn't hafta leave! Besides, it would be nice to see pics of that pretty little Red Corvette from time to time. Hey, come to think of it, there is a song called : Little Red Corvette. What a quinkydink!

So, does Carl still think this thread is frivolous, pointless, and a waste of space and typing? I know that is not not exactly what he said - but close.

Carl, if you read this, it's just a nonsensical way for all of us to be light hearted without any subject or thought. We've got a drawer in our kitchen that holds anything from batteries to paper clips to scissors, etc. you all get the drift and have a drawer like that of your own. Roll Eyes
We call it by its french name, which I murderously pronounce: Tsirwada tourmet. My wife who actually speaks the lingo tells me that means: Junk Drawer.

Well, this thread is kinda like THAT! Anything fits in here.  cooldude

I don't even care if I, or anyone ever wins, which of course is not possible to do anyways.

Well, there you go. Hope all is well at your places. If you're lucky you are in a place where you can ride.

Peace Brothers (and Sisters)!!! cooldude cooldude cooldude cooldude

Huna, you pretty much nailed it.  We come here just like the guys I see down at the Whataburger on the weekends.  We come in here and solve the worlds problems, but mostly just visit about what we did that day.

Whatever you call it, ride safe.  I will ride to werk tomorrow as it will be in the high 30's when I leave the house.  Bike is the dirtiest it has been since I got it painted in 2011, but I'm riding it anyways.

Here are a couple of pictures from the parking lot at work.  Man, my bike is dirty!

Speaking of Flea Markets, I have 2 neighbors who go to all the garage sales they can, buy up crap and then bring it home and have a garage sale.

One of the gals husband says between the 2 of them they make about $23,000 on these buy em sell em sales.

I know when they set up a yard sale, they have 9 of those fold up tables, like they use at Church for big cookouts, full of stuff.      Chuck says they buy like a box or dish of stuff for $.50, and price it out to $9.00 on the table.    They have like 3 or 4 of these sales every year.    Chuck also said they bought and paid for 5 tents over the years.    Everything they have will fit under these tents.

Big problem I have is I don't have a fireplace anymore.  It staid in our house in California.

It was an awesome ride home this afternoon.  Gonna rain tomorrow, so prolly won't risk it.  Saturday evening is the local"full moon ride"and it should be a move ride.

I will get some pictures from that ride.  Trying to get some people from work to go on the ride.  Harley riders, so don't know if they will make it or not.

I was told the other day, at the Harley shop, that any time they have a ride out of there, they also take a chase truck.       I just kind of smiled and walked out the door.

It was too cold to ride so I was in da Big Ole Dodge.

We have about 6 or 7 drawers at the shop and a couple buckets with our treasure in them.    Each drawer has a specific part, like electrical connectors, another has injectors, switches for behind the dash that have a tendency to burn out, hello Dodge, Spark plug wires in a bucket.     You got it, it is our treasure pot.
