Hey Gunny, what has Elvis the Pelvis got to do with this?

R J, he's been gone for thirty-five years now.  We try to never speak ill of the dead.   coolsmiley

Come to think of it, I don't think I've heard anyone refer to him as "The Pelvis" for about fifty years.

To answer your question, people like to imitate Elvis when he said, "Thank you.  Thank you very much."

Yeah Gunny, I remember the day he died.

It was on all the radios and they were breaking in on every radio and some TV of his death, then who found him, and finally all about his latest girl friend at the time for about a week in my area.

The day he passed in 1977 I was working the Lake Tahoe area on a motor.   Got caught in a frog choker rain with about 3 accidents every 1/2 hour.    Usually only 2 of us covered this area in daylight hours.     Before the rain stopped we had 2 more motor officers and 4 single car cruisers on site for assistance.    Was a weird day for us.    Traffic up the ving vang to bother with and like I said about 3 accidents every 1/2 hour for 3 or 4 hours.    I know my shift was to end at 2 pm that day, I finally got home at 9:00 PM & I had to be back out on the Highway at 6:00 AM.

Oncoming pickemuptruck turned left right in front of me.......  I didn't think he was turning, no blinkee, and he was moving pretty fast, not slowing to turn you know?  Locked up both brakes twice trying to stop.  Felt the front trying to take me down and let off/got back on them hard.  CT saved my life yesterday!

If I would have been in the Big White Dodge, his passenger would have been dead.  No way I could have stopped that 8,000 lb 4x4 truck in that amount of time.

Thank the Lord above, he was watching out for me yesterday, just like everyday.  You know how they say He watches out for fools and little kids?  hehe

Still picking out "tighty whiteys" outta my arse...

Glad to her ya had enough smarts to get off the front and then back on it to stop.

I was trolling along in the big white Dakota by the County park just about 10 minutes ago.

Popped over the top of the hill about 60 in a 45, and 1/2 way down the hill was 3 pedestrians on the sidewalk running around each other.    Thought that was strange until I got closer look.      About a 1 year old fawn was standing in the middle of them trying to grab bread out of their hands as they went flying by in front of him......       Laid on the binders and one tire broke loose and squalled.   Didn't take that little character long to disappear into the jungle of timber.

Last I knew there were about 20 of those forest rats living in there.   So damn many people who walk by there getting their exercise carry bread to feed them.    They will walk up to anyone to get a snack.

Wife has picked 2 of them off in the past 6 months with the Highlander.   I told her the more she wiped out the less of a chance they had of getting me on the Trike(s).     She didn't like that suggestion.

   Hey Hay,

Not many people use blinkers anymore. Quite irritating!

Shortage of blinker fluid. Refineries can't keep up with demand and shortage of raw fluid. Later on this summer when the lightning bugs come out, the supply will increase. That's where the fluid comes from.
