I'll pass on the beer.    Haven't drank since I went on the Force and that was a requirement, NO drinking Period.    Caught with beer on your breath, was IMMEDIATE termination.

Of those 3, the only one I really care for is Golden Corral.

Golden Corral -- Flash flood fast buffet. So much, so fast.

We really like Pizza Ranch chicken though.

Some places do the Sunday Prime Rib Brunch buffet. That's fast and class. Prime rib fast food.

Few years back, the Mesquaki casino over east of Marshalltown did a Friday night seafood buffet and at that time they had all you can eat ALASKAN KING CRAB LEGS. Not the snow crab, the ALASKAN KING CRAB LEGS. My son had told me about the place and I was in the area so I hit the buffet there.
MY GOD! ALL YOU CAN EAT ALASKAN KING CRAB LEGS! And I ate a whole lot. $17.

I think that was Dec. of 07. The night before the Wreaths across America.

They don't do that any more. They just do the snow crab and an average seafood buffet.

BAM! still fast though.

Not only has this post gotten shoved way back, but we can't have that! When I got on in 72, of course I was issued the department handbook. At the same time the "new" chief had been a Sgt. at the sheriffs department and I had worked with him for a few years. We were hired around the same time at the P.D. Anyway, I was reading the handbook and guess what I found in the regulations? "An officer may not exceed a .05 blood / alcohol level at any time while on duty. I pointed it out to him and I said "I have to leave now"? He said, "where you going"? "To the bar for a burger and a beer"? It didn't take long for that clause to be removed to a "O" tolerance.    2funny

I am sending Daniel a replacement bell for his bike to replace the one he gave Carl.

I just finished wrapping it in bubble wrap.

In fact as of 5:00 PM this date, it is in a mailing box, with other mail headed for Tex-as.

The clerk said he should get it Thursday.    Figured that was kind of slow for 1st Class.

***Corrected the name of Joe to Larry.  10:34 PM 6/12/2013.***
                                    *** ***

I try to keep a stock of bells, just for this purpose.

Ya remember Indian Larry?   He was the one killed standing on his bike running down a street.   He'd done it many times before.

When I 1st got MGM and was on a trip around the states, I met him at a show in Concord, CA.     He came out and looked at the Valk as there were not too many of them around yet.      He mounted my bell on the trailer hitch.   It rode with me for over 242K and I plan on putting it back on in a couple of days.    I have to hacksaw the loop off of the hitch so I can get it to put on the MGM Trike.

When he did that, I asked why, he told me of the Gremlins, and it was to keep them away.    Apparently it has done a good job.

Well anyway, I bought my 1st 6 bells and they have all been sent out, ordered a dozen more and I have 4 of them left.

So, if ya know of anyone in need of a bell, let me know who, and I'll send them one.    Thanks. RJ

No it should be Indian Larry.   I'll change the original post.

Thanks for catching that bloop.

Indian Joe  was a Wineo in Oakland, CA.

George Barris and a few other people used to look out for.     Mainly to keep the poor guy out of jail.

Well, we didn't get a dericho last night.  We did get four or five thunderstorm warnings, lots of rain, and three tornadoes warnings (funnel clouds).

High humidity but lower temps today

Getting ready for photographing Mark and Twila's wedding Saturday.

After they're hitched I'm not sure who would get in the last word.

Who ever does won't stand a chance here what with RJ ready to pounce.

What's the last word, RJ?

Never seen it rain like it did last night. Trees and wires down all over the place but no fires.  cooldude My rain gauge was full at 5" so I can't tell ya what we got but it was a deluge / frog strangler. I was and still am up from yesterday, guess its a double for me today. Then I have training tonight so its gonna be a long spell. After last nights weather, today is a beauty but I have to work and train so no ride.  Embarrassed
