Why would the Gunny want to lock this fun place?
He even posts sometime.
I'll be back later, I just got blood all over hell's 1/2 acre.
Will explain when I get cleaned up.

I wasn't a Master Gunny, I was just a T/Sgt. I was in before they got all fancy ranks.
Ours were:
PVT PFC CPL SGT S/SGT T/SGT M/SGT Then ya went into the officers ranks.

Oh ya, you wanted to know about the blood.
Had a blood blister, actually 2 in 1. Every time I open my damn back door, somehow I get the inside of my little finger into something that gives me a blood blister.
I picked up my air tank and it hit that blood blister on me wittle finger.
Splat, blood went everywhere.
On the floor, on the kitchen cabinet and the front of the refrigerator.
I had to get it stopped bleeding, and everything cleaned up before mom got home. It all happened in the kitchen, so it wasn't too hard to clean up on the tile. Refrig is white, no problem there. 3 of the kitchen cabinets got splattered, and I got it off before it dried.
If ya would walk in there now, you wouldn't know it happened.
Night night time, I got to go see a Dr tomorrow, don't ask what for, cause I don't remember the name from anywhere, except he is going to be at my Clinic tomorrow for 6 hours.

I teach at Miami University. The University of Cincinnati is out arch-rival. My body goes to the Uof C Medical School. Let those Asses pay to get rid of what remains when they are done practicing on it. My final revenge. Someone learns to help others, and Uof C pays the final bill.

I was stabbed once under the right arm pit while at a street fight. I didn't find any humor in that either. I'm with you, I hate knives, cook me up! Knives. Yuke. As a kid I carried a knife just in case one of our animals got into a fence and couldn't get out. Luckily I never EVER had to cut up on one of our animals. Went in the service and they taught me how to use a bayonet. That SOB did get a lot of use between July 1950 and August 1952. During the above time, I had to have surgery 5 times due to metal fragments and something called white phosphorous (sp). Then had to have an arm scraped of hot asphalt, from a go down in a chase. That crap can and does burn. April Fool's Day 1997, Quad bypass, reopened due to faulty work, and put back together again. That is when I bought the Valkyrie. Then had to have a knee replaced. Then had to have a pin put in my big toe from when I broke it. Plus they had to remove it after it all healed. Removed about 22 moles off of my back, they turned out NON cancerous. That is all that comes to mind right now. I know for one thing it is too damn many times under a knife.

When she gets home all she do is drop in her chair and watch TV programs she recorded.
Oh, as she comes in the door, she says 'Hi I'm home'.
When she is ready to head to bed, she says 'I'm going to bed, you coming with?'
Tonight is sandwich night for this week. Every Friday night if she is working that evening, she stops at B-Bop and get sandwiches. So tonight is our Friday night. Sandwiches will either come from Burger King or McDonald's as B-Bop closes early during the week..
We get to party tomorrow. It is out Weddin Anniversary. Don't bother asking how many, we quit counting 30 years ago. Neither one of us figured we'd make it this long. Our parents didn't think it would last either.
Let me tell ya, she has been a keeper.

Speaking of sandwiches, RJ...a few posts up, reminds me of all our trips from home up to Wisconsin land I've made through the years. I have family in Baraboo, near Devils Lake and the Dells area. Whenever we would go up through Rockford, we'd pass a local restaurant called Beef A Roo. I never stopped there because for some reason, the words "Barf A Roo" would come into my head.
A couple yrs ago, after we bought our lake property, I said to the wife, let's stop there and give it a try. As you might have guessed, it was one of the better Roast Beef sandwiches I've ever had- better than Arbys, Beef Ranch, etc. And they have a black bean salad that the wife loves. All these years we missed out until now cuz of that stupid twist on their name that my brain interpreted.

Over the years I've learned to never make an opinion over a places name of the food industry.
My old riding buddy (RIP Frank), was a picky kind of eater. A few times he used to say I ain't eating in that slop & puke place. I used to patronize his wishes, then we were in Oregon, and I'd heard that a place in Bend, forgot the name now, was super good food. I pulled in and parked, he rolled up behind me and said I ain't eating here, said ok, I'll wait for ya here. Looks like there is a couple fo places on up the street.
I went in and ordered a bowl of their famous Potato Soup and a sandwich. Was the best place I ever sunk my chops into Potato Soup. He came back and was bitching up a storm he hadn't eaten any of his meal after the 1st bite. Told him he could go in here and I'd wait for him.
After that he did not question where I said I wanted to stop for a meal.

Another good restaurant story..also from Oregon. I believe it's east of Portland, there is a GREAT Chicken and Dumpling restaurant called Tad's. I LOVE Chicken and Dumplings but unfortunately, my Grandma took her recipe to the grave. It's not a meal a lot of people make and they often have a hard time with the dumplings and cheat, using Bisquick. I was in 7th Heaven at Tad's. Afterwards, we posed outside underneath the sign. I did a post on the VRCC and someone replied how funny it was that many years earlier, they had gone there and their Neon sign was "partially" burned out...and it therefore said, "Tad's Chic Dump" when lit. I thought that was hilarious and checked our pic(which I lost through the years), and sure enough, the only portions of the sign STILL spelled out Tad's Chic Dump. Here's the proof.

I ate there once on my worldly states run around. My daughter was with me and I think it was when we were on our way up to Alaska, so she could have that state as a been there on a bike. She loved her grandmas chicken & dumplins.

I've experimented and now make a pretty good Chicken N Dumplins myself. It's a great comfort food for the winter time. I use the standard fare...chicken, pepper, celery, poultry seasoning, carrots, parsley and broth. Then when it's all done and just before the dumplins are added to the stock, I throw in a small can of corn and a small can of peas...umm, umm. I still think we should have a sticky food thread on this board somewhere.

Lame way, that was a stumble in way.
We are going to have to fix that raised up concrete just in front of the door here.
Everyone have great week.
I'm already off to a good start.
Mom just came in and said her low tire indicator was lite.
I don't know why they put that damn sensor on da spare tire.
Oh well, just somethin for me to gripe about.

It is a used tire I bought for the spare when she blew one on a tree limb about 2 years ago.
The weather changes and it loses air over time.
Just blew it up and i should be good to go for awhile now.

Up here the severe temps change make the tire lose air.
My truck I carry 45# in the spare just for that reason.

I keep 70 lbs in the tires for the BWD (Big White Dodge) so I don't have to air them up to carry a load. 90 is the limit in these 8 ply tars. But, there aren't any tire pressure sensors on the 06 Dodge with the 5.9 liter diesel motor. Hay Jimmyt

Both of my command units have done this since day one. My Asst. Chief gets all geeked up over the light. I tell him to forget the damn thing, I do. Mine is on constantly and I ignore it. IF the tire looks right I figure it is. At least it isn't on the rim! Car makers big idea's. Techonology is a great thing but this is one of those pain in the ass things.

I wouldn't mind it so bad but it takes a Professor of Physics to get it shut off.
I watched the kid yesterday when he made the dash light go out.
Turn the key on. Press the brake pedal 3 times. Turn the key off. Press the brake pedal 6 times. ETC, ETC. ETC.
