It has been over 2 months and I finally was able to ride today. As most of you know I have been battling advanced prostate cancer since last July and my ability to ride has been limited. I was able to ride about 60 miles with not much pain in my back. I am slowly getting better. My Drs. told me I really should stay off of the bike, but they just don't understand.
Just a little update: My medication I have been on has stopped working and the next step is to get the Prevenge vaccine from my hospital in Tulsa, OK.  I will then go to Mexico to get some therapy to compliment the vaccine. They can do things in Mexico that is illegal to do in the states due to FDA regulations and other politics. I will then spend some time in California for some more therapy from the same hospital in Mexico. This all may take a month or more to complete.
The VRCC, PGR, and all the biking community have been so good to me. Thank you everyone for all the messages and prayers you have sent. I hope to be able to get out more in the near future and get to see some of you.

Ride Safe, Matt

I am glad you got a chance to ride a few miles today.  I snuck a few miles in yesterday myself.  Nothing beats the chance to get a breath of freshly driven motorcyle air!

Keep us posted.

That's great that you got some two wheel therapy.
Does me good just to do a quick ride around the neighborhood.
Really hope to see you soon.

Ride therapy is good for all. A prayer for your continued medical therapy and quick return to wind therapy.
