OK folks, we have some deciding to do. Assuming most of us will straight-shot it back north on I-45 after lunch, which way do we want to ride down? RainMaker emailed me this google map link. Despite what flamingobabe says I say about him, he really is a nice guy. He even started his route to Centerville east of Dallas. Hoping we might have some mid-cities and/or west-siders with us, I initially thought about Waxahachie as a fairly convenient south-of-the-mess meetup. Then, the "Mid" theme kicked in and I moved it to Midlothian in this bing map link. RM's route is more scenic. Mine is more direct. Neither of us are married to either map, so if you have a suggestion, let's have 'em. Who's in?

I know you guys are not going to believe what I am gonna recommend since I bitch so much about the "North Dallas VRCC". As much as I would like to see the ride come through Terrell (personal convenience), if it will help SixGuns to meet further west, then that would be my suggestion. But we can't forget about John coming in from Tyler so maybe the Terrell route would be the best. Nah! Just screwing with you. Either route looks great. Just tell me when and where. Planning on making this one. RM, no dancing the night before.

We are a possible atm.
I can say the Google map has more scenery, but I personally like the Bing map for this. It would get us there faster and have more time to be social probably is my thoughts.

I think the Bing route is the most preferred.
Disco, time to determine the particulars. Other than Midlothian, where, when for the meetup and for John, when do we arrive in Centerville?

Meetup: 0800 - 0815 @ Love's Travel Stop, 1501 W Highway 287, Midlothian, TX 76065. MAP KSU: 0830 134.7 miles and 3:09 to get there. ETA: 1145-1200 Bing maps does NOT know where the Love's Travel Stop meetup point is. Google maps does NOT know where two of the waypoints are. Neither knows where Woody's is on the map. Hope we make it... If you want to enter the waypoints between meetup and Woody's into your own software or GPS, they are Howard, Nash, Avalon, Blooming Grove, Dresden, Rodney, Mexia, Point Enterprise, Donie, and Jewett. Here's the route I came up with, but if anyone knows of better roads or scenery, I'm still open for suggestions.

If we meet at the QT on Swisher 0645-0700, it looks to be about an hour down to the meetup regardless of which way we go.
Sound like a plan?

I don't know whether to respectfully ask the N Texas RM who rides a Blue/Silver IS not to post to this thread until the forecast sorts itself out or dare him to once again test the veracity of his handle. As of Monday, it looks like a windy Tuesday and then wetness through Saturday. Sunday's forecast looks great right now, but if anything gets pushed back a day or two...

+1 at Woody's if early church gets out on time and it's not raining. I assume we're doing the Woody's on the Northbound side. Don't forget to say hello to our biker buddy who works there. In fact, if you call and let him know a group is coming, he said he can reserve some space in the back room. Guessing you guys have already covered that or can play it by ear.

Hey everybody, keep an eye on Rocketman's Meet in the Middle - Date thread. It's been updated. Barring an unforeseen dramatic improvement of the weather forecast, we will postpone the MITM one week to 18 March. This gives us two weeks between MITM, GOTF, Bluebonnets and Chicken Fried Bacon, and the Houston Ride for Kids.
