if it feels like the caliper is loose, it could be. Look to see if the caliper bolt is in place. The axel goes thru one area and another bolt goes thru the swingarm and keeps the bracket from spinning. Check that first. Its an easy visual.

Sorry for the crappy video, I was trying to capture the noise with a cell phone and still drive the bike without killing myself. But....does yours sound anything like this did? Not brake caliper......left rear wheel bearing shot. Everytime I hit the brakes, it would sound like the rear end was chewing rocks.

I have never had a bearing problem. I have heard of them going bad but have never actually heard it. How long can you ride with a bad bearing. I know you should change it as soon as possible.

My bike has only 31k and I have had to change the rear wheel bearings twice now. First time was an All Bearings set. Went back to Honda line this time.

jack it up and rotate tire, my 2 cents your making this harder, not to mention somewhat more dangerous than it needs to be.

That's exactly what I did after I got home from making that first video on the bike. That confirmed the left rear wheel bearing was bad.
btw.....the bike never handled bad, it tracked straight and there didn't seem to be any play in the wheel after I jacked it up. However, the bearing was bad and needed replacing. The only indicator was that awful sound coming from the rear when I applied the brakes.

What would you do? Would you tear into the rear wheel and replace the bearings now or wait??
Need all y'alls expert advice...........I think I should at least change the oil in the rear an clean/polish everything up?????????

I rode from Knoxville to Orlando and then out to Mesa, AZ. Over 2500 miles towing a 400 lb tent trailer with the left rear bearing making noise. It sounded pretty bad when I got home. The bearing fell out in pieces
