This year Wing Ding (GWRRA) is in Ft. Wayne. I plan to ride down to Auburn In. on Friday morning. I want to visit the Auburn / Cord museum. I just love the looks of them. I plan on spending the night in Auburn, and then riding into Ft. Wayne on Saturday morning. Is there anything else in the area that I may want to visit in the area on Friday? My plan is to not use any freeway all week end. I don't see it as much of a problem, anyhow.

There's a WWII museum in Auburn. It's out by I-69. Also an airplane museum of some sort(Solo 1, help!) out by the Dekalb Co. Airport just South of Auburn.

I'm not going for the vendors looking for the Valkyrie. I realized several years ago not many vendors carry stuff for Valkyrie's now. That's obvious by the number of them at Inzane. (No dis-respect meant.)
I do plan to go because I am in the market for new J&M headsets, maybe a new coat, and helmets. I also will go because I have several friends who ride Goldwings, and it will be a nice trip.

Then don't be shell shooked by the entrance fees to look for your parts. I ride a wing and been riding them since they were first produced and I'd rather be with the red headed step children than most wingers.  But just so I don't piss off someone, that's my worthless $0.02.

You better call and set up a room. They will be booked. I know all ours here sell out during the last WD. We are 30 miles away. Buffalo farm up north of there is cool. Also its native american country by me so there are some neat rides to some landmarks/ battles. 3 reservoirs to ride to also.

I went yrs ago and ended up with a very good 1/2 cover for the Valk. I'm sure I'll blend in with my tattoos, naughty vest patches, and a flask full of whiskey.  Grin

Fudgie. I booked a room @ La Quinta in Auburn. It's close enough that we will enjoy the couple museums there on Friday. Get up Saturday and ride into Ft. Wayne spend the day, then had north later. Maybe head over and have some chicken dinner.

Around metro Detroit the GW riders seem to think their poop don't stink (a generalization based on personal observation).

I wouldn't cross the street to get in free,....a bunch of uptight people that believe in being a "mutual admiration society".

I'm a member of GWRRA in eastern VA and we welcome all bikes.  I ride a 2001 Valkyrie Interstate and a 1995 Goldwing Aspencade (wife likes 2 up riding better on Goldwing).  When I can afford to put a Russell Ride-All-Day seat on the Valkyrie, she may like it more.  We even have one Harley rider in our group.  We are all just looking to have fun and meet new friends, not judge people on their riding preferences.  Its a shame if all GWRRA groups are not like ours.  We plan on being at the Hillbilly Highway ride again this year in June and we will be at Wing Ding in Fort Wayne.  We are looking for some ideas for rides in the Fort Wayne area.  Area seems very flat, last year was great riding in the Knoxville area.  If anyone has any suggestions for good rides, they would be appreciated.
