Friday night is just tire kicking time and greet and meet around the pool area and parking lot.
Saturday is ride day, kickstands up at 9 am, be sure to be fueled up and be ready to roll, we’ll head out on Va. 16 “Back of the Dragon” we’ll stop in Thompson Valley for our first break, then on to Welch, W.Va., we’ll be deep into Appalachian coal country, places like Coalwood, home of the Rocket Boys, it will be like riding back in time. From Welch we will get on US 52 to Va. 120 to Pocahontas, Va. Where we will have lunch, buffet style sponsored by the local food bank of Pocahontas for a minimal fee and all the proceeds will go to the food bank. From there you can take a tour of the Pocahontas Exhibition Mine and then we’ll make our way back to hotel for more socializing and tire kicking..
