It was suggested to me today by Paul ( Britman ) that all of us bring a nonperishable food item to donate to the food bank folks that are feeding us a home-cooked meal on this ride....Hope y'all will I know I'm going to throw a few in my saddlebag.

There is a WallyWorld  and an Ingalls down the road from the hotel..
And can grab  a few things from there...

From Google Maps it looks like there is an Econo Lodge nearby.

You could check there so that you have a guaranteed room.

The Econo Lodge is right next to the ground zero, if fact the parking lots ajoin, so you might want to book there while you're waiting for an opening... cooldude
