I've noticed this board seems to have degenerated into re-posted e-mails and jokes.  It will be great when we can all get out on the road and actually have something to talk about again.  I am not trying to criticize anyone but am merely encouraging other members to hold out a while longer when we can get something really interesting to read.
It has rained here so much more than what I was used to in New Orleans that I have actually ridden about a third of what I am use to this time of year.  Work has slowed and I am climbing the walls.  I am sure I am not alone in this.  Sorry for the rant.

O.K., hows this Bama Jack?

Since I had to stick around this past weekend and had just recently purchased the Year pass to access the National Parks, I figured I'd make use of it at the local area. Kinda nice just whippin out the card and rolling right in... 

I had been here before but last time out the weather was poor with some storms and downpour for at least the return trip.

This time the weather was great, clear skies and running in the mid to upper 80's.

Here's a few shots, hope you like them.

Actually did some hiking and some climbing this go round. Shoulda wore some shorts...


I was committed to get up into them cliff dwellings!



This shot taken from inside one of the dwellings. Interesting to imagine people living and meeting inside here.



Off to the left you can see the more man made style dwellings.

The Bandelier National Monument is about 20 miles from my place. Some bottled water and a quick n easy picnic lunch and I was all set.
