The darkside conversion has started for my '00 Valk standard. I would just like to thank everyone for their posts and wealth of information, both pro and con! I feel it has greatly helped me in making an informed decission from the tire itself...  Goodyear Assurance Tripletread 205-60-16.... to handling issues and what to be prepared for. If anyone is interested, I would be happy to provide feed back from my "newbe" perspective.

Thanks, All of you!!

Got the Valk last night, conversion complete. Put about 50mi on it and I really like the way it handles so far. It does like to ride down from the crown in the road but nothing harsh and not too much different than with m/c tires. Did some little twisties with no major issues or complaints. You just have to drive the bike. I like that. I'm in control of the bike, not the other way around.
I'm running the Avon cobra front, 40psi, Goodyear Assurance Tripletread 205/60/16 rear, 32psi. Will bump it up to 35psi and give that a shot after another 50mi or so.
So far though, I love the way it rides.    cooldude

I love my Austone Taxi tire!  It is amazing that the differences in feel and handling are minimal.  Good report!
