No, it's not going to be at Vito's. I just got back from vacation, so I haven't posted anything yet (and it's not the day before, anyway!) As per Early Bird's suggestion, we'll go to Boudreaux's Cajun Kitchen: http://www.boudreauxs.net/public/pag1.aspxThey have Cajun and some more generic/American fare. There are a couple of Houston-area locations, and two fairly close to me, but in the interest of a more central location (and what's the point of a motorcycle meeting you don't have to ride to?), we'll go to: 5475 West Loop South (610, just south of 59 on the west side of town.) It's very close to Vito's. 7 PM, as usual. Third Wednesday, as usual (August 20). See ya'll there. Mark

Man you messed up twice on that post! You told everyone WAY TOO early! And the long range forecast says it's going to rain!

Man you messed up twice on that post! You told everyone WAY TOO early! And the long range forecast says it's going to rain! You and I both know that in Texas (especially August), the afternoon forecast as of 9 AM is a long range forecast. You looked at the forecast for more than a week out? They just say it will rain because, odds are, it will rain some during any given day in August.

I think that I have the undisputed title of RainMaker. But I agree Stovall needs a handle. Maybe something to do with his NASA duties. "Rocketman", "Explorer", "Voyager", "Shuttler", "Booster" something like that. Rocketman would be good because Stephanie could be Rocketgirl!!!
(The one and only) RainMaker
ps - I'll bet the Queen of the Flannel Underwear is wondering how this topic got so far off-track.

I'll be riding that evening to San Antonio for work...have fun everyone! 2 hours on I-10 is work in itself but the fun begins the next day finding a just-built charter school in the outskirts... Drew

Well you have a habit of riding in the rain. Just remember to check your shorts before they cause a problem.... I think Rocketman and Rocketgirl would be good for you and Stephanie, Mark. Daniel keeps wanting me to steal him a warp drive. Notice you don't hear about the kids that took the moon rocks. I don't want to end up like that. Besides if Daniel did not align the dilithium crystals correctly then he would get warped. Hmmm, but then he is a little warped already. Just maybe it would straighten him out... Ok Ok! I'm done...

I could have sworn that this months meeting was supposed to be at Woodrows on Chimney Rock? When did that change?

Hmm. I have not used a handle in the past, for whatever reason. I have considered using a nickname (Buzzsaw) bestowed upon me after I had a fight with the aforementioned item (I lost. Thus I now have a habit of using my right hand to point at things far away, and my left hand to point at things much closer. Was that too cryptic for those of ya'll who haven't met me? How about "I went on the table saw diet. It doesn't take off much weight, but it STAYS off." [everybody sing with me!] "I fought the saw, and the... saw won, I fought the saw, and the... saw won.) Do I sound as punchy as Tinman did with his post? Rocketman/Rocketgirl makes some sense, too. I'll follow tradition, and use whatever sticks.

Tradition dictates that you are named by others for some outstanding trait, occupation, hobby, etc. Buzzsaw is too close to Buzzkill, although both would be interesting titles.
Seems to be a lot of positive flow for Rocketman and Rocketgirl. So, change your profile and proudly proclaim yourself as the Rocketman!
