I didn't want to hijack Scott's inspiring thread, but wanted to post some pics from my first big motorcycle trip.  The trip to Inzane9 in
Frisco, CO.

Leaving Frisco, TX, we got the proverbial city limit sign pic.

Can anyone guess what these are?  I believe they are in New Mexico.

Scott, I noticed that you didn't include any "food" pics in your post, so here goes....  man, now I'm hungry!

Mmmmmm.... Cajun Chicken Pasta in Colorado...

Burger anyone?

Mmmmm.... Beeeeeerrrrr......

We saw some of them thar horned animals above the tree line too....

Independence Pass

And the roads up there are pretty sweet too.

Just for you Scott, here are some pics of the narrow gauge train that goes between Silverton and Durango.

We waited out a bit of rain in Silverton.

And saw a sweet old Norton while we were there.

Did I mention F O O D? ?

Here is a short video of the Valkyrie Bike Games in Frisco, CO.
powered by Aeva

And a few pics.

I don't remember who's bike had a problem, but it was repaired right there in the parking lot.
We don't need no stinkin' JACK!  When we have so many strong backs..  hehe

Our riding group at the lookout up on the lake in Frisco.

MAN, I can't wait until July!!!

See y'all on the road........

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

Great pic's and ride, thanks for sharing.

I have got to get my act together and get a handle on my Go-Pro Hero camera for some video shots!!!  Sad

Picked it up about a year or so ago but my then aging computer wouldn't handle the file sizes and was locking up. Computer replaced, now to retry.

I took the short video with my tiny little HD video camera... you're right tho, file sizes are huge depending on the resolution.

That was a great trip, Jimmy.  I'm proud to have been a part.  Thanks for posting, but you omitted some of the exciting parts...  Pat WAY understates it. Lips Sealed

Two guys drinking Shiner Bock at the Motel Safari on Rt 66 in Tucumcari, NM after a great first day.

Those heavy clouds in the distance should have been a clue... coolsmiley

Funny that it took us another two years to get the Frisco, CO city limit sign.   Embarrassed   But we got it!  (with 5_19 & El Cazador)

Can anyone guess what these are?  I believe they are in New Mexico.

Those are coke ovens, N side of Hwy 133, Redstone CO.  Directly across the Hwy from the Redstone Inn.  Best Biscuits & Gravy I've ever had ANYWHERE, by the way.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redstone_Coke_Oven_Historic_District

And saw a sweet old Norton while we were there.

That's truly a classic, not a reproduction.  Note the shifter & brakes still on the wrong sides from back in the day.
