Would the ignition system be harmed if a plug wire wasn't installed and bike was started and ran for less than minute.  I pulled that bonehead manuever and it just seems like it isn't as responsive, peppy, snappy, as it was.
I have a feeling this isn't the first time  this has happened to a valkyrie so what do you all think?
Probably my imagination and it is same as it always was.
thanks

I'd have to say no. If no other reason each coil fires two plugs. With only one missing the coil still discharges through its other plug. And you're right many, many Valkyries have been operated without a plug wire attached at some point and I've never heard or had an issues. Relax and RIDE!

The plug could be fouled, kinda unlikely. Pull the plug, clean the electrode and be careful not to scratch the insulator. Put the plug back in and see if it runs better. Or you could just put in a new plug.

You're worrying over nothing, really, and letting your imagination run away with you.

Everything is Ok.

Change the plugs.  It's cheap and easy, and frequently has a placebo effect.
