As some of you know by now, I'm wanting to do some paint work on the Valk.  f6gal helped with a couple pics, but I'm wanting to play around with a couple pics some more.

I downloaded a trial version of Photoshop Elements 10....it said that it would have full capabilities.  I'm not wanting to make a goldwing out of it or insert a pic of Stanley Steamer sitting on my bike or anything crazy, I'm just wanting to play with the colors and designs a bit.

I played around with the Elements 10, but I'm not seeing any way to do what I'm wanting to to.

Do I have the right program.....or what I'm I doing wrong here.     Help.   ???

A free program called GIMP will do what you want, it is the open source alternative
to photoshop... you'll probably have to figure out how to use "layers" and some other
non-intuitive stuff about transparencies and alpha channels to do what f6gal did, so
there's some amount of learning curve, but not too hard after you know what you're
trying to do...

+1 on Gimp  http://www.gimp.org/

Photoshop Trial ver. ... I don't believe it'll allow you to save or print.

I've used Gimp for Web Site development & it's been wonderful. Very similar to PS.
Gimp is open soyrce and full functional.
Either one of these programs are quite extensive.

There is a REALLY large learning curve with either. As mentioned, you'll need to get a grip on layering.

Thanks for the help ya'll.  I was able to change some colors, but not enough to be anywhere near a quality rendering.  Ya'll are 100% correct.....way more to learn than I'm willing to on a Saturday night anyway.

I'm able to get pretty much what I want in Microsoft paint....not great, but I get the idea.  Thanks again ya'll.
