For those of you who have a Std or Tourer and added an I/S trunk, can the two Grab Rail Plates (77350-MZ0-000 and 77360-MZO-000......#13 and #14) that hold the sissy bar and passenger backrest in place be re-used with the I/S rails?  If they can't be used with the back rest how bout just having them there and adding a small grab rail/bar for decoration?

Any pictures??

TIA !

This was my scheme for using the Standard grab rails with the Interstate trunk.  If you look closely at the marks they show where the height of the backrest support would have to be reduced and a new hole drilled for the lower backrest screw.  The backrest would have dropped a couple of inches.

The upper portion of the support, once removed, would have been attached forward on the grab rail to serve the forward screw for the trunk mount.

I never followed through on the plan as the bike died before she could be outfitted.
