I have a friend who put me on to an upholsterer in Dallas who re-builds / customizes motorcycle seats.
I saw a Corbin he did several years ago for my friend who says it is the most comfortable seat he owns and he has over a dozen motorcycles.
I called the man today and he is going to take a look at my seat (which needs something) in a couple of weeks.

Paul Norris currently lives in a small town near Dallas. He is moving into Dallas next week so will be busy with move.
He is going to call me in two weeks. I will have his number then.

Amen Brother!  A Corbin was the hardest seat I have ever sat on.  The only comfortable MC seat I have ever sat on, IMHO, is one with an Airhawk sitting on top of it.

I love my Corbins!!  Guess you either have a Corbin butt or you don't. Did my Iron Butt on mine.  Mine are in need of new leather so I would be interested in this guys identity as well.  I saw a set of Corbins that were redone by Boss Hogg on Empire Central in NW Dallas.  He added padding and two color leather on all four pieces - $310.  It's time to bite the bullett and get new leather.

Did my Iron Butt ride on a corbin also, love them, I have had them on most of the bikes I have owned. I do feel like the corbin on the interstates I have had are better than the one I had on a standard, they seem to be better to me.

 cooldude cooldude cooldude

I take the Airhawk off (only) for the Winter, cause I'm all geared up with no sweaty-butt, and it hides me down a little more behind the shield.  Put it back on thurs for a 69* day, and I was floating on air again.  My Ultimates are fine by themselves (for awhile, if it's not too hot), but the Airhawk makes every seat better.

Actually it was one of Mike Corbin's concrete blocks covered in leather that drove me to find the Airhawk in the first place.

I  LIKE Corbin seats.... have them on ALL my bikes!!!  Never did an official Iron Butt.... But LOTS of 1000 mile plus days.... Longest was 1250 miles....  guess they just fit me....
Not real pleased with Corbin's so called 'customer service'.... I have one seat that needs recovering.... just plain wore out the leather... but will not have Corbin do it.....Will be looking forward to your report on the recovering job!!!!

I bought an Airhawk to make my Ultimate bearable.  I'm now on a modified stock seat with a Utopia backrest and an Airhawk, a good combo for me but I'd like a new cover installed.

OK, I saw Paul Norris about re-building my Corbin Stinger seat to keep me more centered in the seat (not sliding down toward tank as I do now).
Paul has just moved to Irving and has an unholstery  shop in back of DBD Motors 604 E Irving Blvd.
He is semi-retired and has been in the business all of his life. I think he is well known among a lot of old timer bikers in the area. I found out about him from a friend who has used him.
He is going to go in and work with my padding to, I guess, change the center of gravity of my seat. That would involve building up padding in part of seat and while he is at it, he is adding a gel pad for more comfort. He is installing an ostrich faux cover. I also asked him to cut down a sheepskin back rest cover I had on  another seat which is too big for this seat. He is doing this for $275.
Get this. I will drop off seat Saturday morning and he will have it ready following Wednesday or Thursday.
I know. You want to see mine before you think about using him. I hope and expect we will both like the results.
