So what big deal. I'd do it too if I could have. I did water a few of the other smaller waterworks at Yellowstone myself during my several visits.

I kinda like peeing outside and especially at places I may travel to. Don't swim in the rivers of the US, I've pee'd in lots of them from east coast to the west coast. Some people collect sand and shells, I just pee on it and say I've been there did that.

Did you ever think why is it that human beings are the only mammals that must have a room to pee? Everything else just goes... I know my social beliefs and morals are different from many but they are mine.

Yes I have pee'd in rivers, outdoors, behind trees on the side of the road/interstate/trail, etc. 
However if someone is  stupid enough to walk up to a gyser and takes the chance of get his pecker burned off/3rd degree burns all over the body because he wants to be cute.
I dont feel empathy for them.  I dont think my tax dollar should pay for this POS to be sent to the hospital for public display of stupidity.
I am sorry you took the post the wrong way.  It was just another of hundreds of post on here where our "enlightened" society is showing just how ignorant it really is.
But, again if someone wants to piss in a gyser that is a ticking time bomb of seathing hot water, you really need to be billyclubbed.  That way when you go to the hospital for injuries.  You will have something to tell the tv news reporters.
