I know that this subject has probably been discussed before, what is the difference if any  between the rear wheels of the three models and various years of our Valkyries. The reason I'm asking is that I bought a rear wheel on ebay that was advertised as a 1999 I/S, (my model) when I received it their was a tag on it that read 2000 Valk. Doing some research their seems to be about 4 different part numbers for various years and models. Although they might be all the same wheel. Any thoughts ?
   Thanks

97  smaller bearings
98-99 standard/tourer
99-03 interstate and 2000-03 standard/tourer
note: 2000 and newer wheels are high polished and clear coated
There was only a difference in bearing sizes for FRONT wheels.

Besides the finish there two rotors.  The early rotor has a recessed center portion therefore the hub of the wheel extends to the left a little more than the later models.  If you keep the correct rotor on the correct wheel....ALL rear wheels work on ALL Valkyries.  Its only when you try to intermix rotors you start having problems

The bottom line in your case, is the wheel you bought should fit the rotor from your 99 wheel and fit on your bike like it should cooldude
