Like the looks and reviews here on the Bridgestone. Which should I go with on the frt. of my I/S?  (130/90-17) The
68  H  Spitfire S11  4-ply   or the
68 V  Battlax BT45 V rated Bias ply ??  Thanks,  looking at purchasing at Jake Wilson Tires.

The original tires are radials. To maintain handling, get a radial. Most folks choose Metzler ME880's or Avon Cobras. I'm in the Avon camp. A few like the Dunlop E3's.

I've had an H rated D404 rear on the front for over 12K miles. It's bias ply, and runs true, fairly quiet, and still looks new so maybe another 12-15K left on it. Great tire in the rain, but I'm not a twisties kind of guy (yet) so I can only speak of wet sweepers north of Lake Superior.

No real experience with them, but I've read here on several occasions that the Battleaxe is a great handling tire, especially in the twisties, but most get only 7-8K miles out of them.
