Last Sunday I took a ride to Turner Falls, I pulled in to the souviner shop a group of 8 Harley riders were there, as I was getting off my I/S 2 of the bikers came over, thought oh crap gonna get my ass kicked, They started saying how nice it looked and one said " the Valkyries really sound good" I was dumbfounded because I always thought that the Harley sound was what all the Harley riders liked, so in my surprised state of mind I blerted out ""THEY DO"" those guys about rolled over laughing, the rest of the bikers came over and they all complemented my Valk. asked a lot of questions.  We shot the crap for about 30 minutes and then ask if I wanted to join their group back to Oklahoma city. I enjoyed the ride with them and made new friends. Funny sometimes how things can turn out.

I've met up with two Hog groups (6-8 bikes) traveling far from home, and led them on nice rides thru my turf, the last couple years. Nice guys.  Met some pindicks too.... oh well.

i've got to say the southern harley riders are 1000 times nicer then the ones around here.  met several last year when on a trip, talked til 1am with one guy, bout nothing serious, just excellent conversations.

in this neck of  the woods, if you wave to another rider, don't expect a wave back, exspecially if you're not on a hog.

Hmm, that might be true, not sure.  I always figured they were waving back because they knew I carried a tow strap on board to tow Harleys back in.  Never  considered they might simply be friendlier.  Wink

Oh come on, everyone knows I am full of it.  Cheesy
