Not that it couldn't have happened sooner (because of weather), but I finally 'fired da Mutha up', and got some long overdue, sweet, sweet, wind  cooldude

As mentioned in a previous post, Wisconsin has had a very strange winter, with the bulk of our measurable snow, happening within the past month or so...  Yesterday, temperature reached a tie with our previous all time (for the date), of 66.  It was time.

Went to the garage after having my morning coffee, unhooked the charger, rolled the beast off the center stand, squirted some air in the tires, and turned on the gas...  Full choke, a few cycles of the starter, and she roared to life  Grin

Finished a few morning chores, dusted off the boots, geared up, and rolled on the throttle   Wink  The all too familiar music of that magnificent six singing to me as I made my way out of the neighborhood was loooong overdue!  I had no destination in mind, just wanted to give her a good opening day run, and that I did.  My brother’s house is about 7 miles from mine.  When I rolled in to his driveway, I had just over 40 miles behind me  Wink  After a quick chat, I headed to the store about 5 miles from his place...  Well, that lil' jaunt added another 30 miles  Roll Eyes  All in all, I was just under 100 miles by the time I got home...  Not too long, long enough, and the first wind of the season, or as I call it 'Mental Floss'  uglystupid2

Got a three day week, and Thursday and Friday are gonna be in the 60's, or so the weather dude zez...  I'll be out again...  Can't wait, can't wait  Grin

And I was thinkin' I'd just cruise for a while
A fork in the road brought a new episode

todays my day off, wouldn't you know it, IT'S RAINING!!!  i planned on heading up to cornell Wi. along hwy 178, it goes along the chippewa river, use to be much more "twistier" but because there are several bars along the way and too many people ended up in the drink they straightened it out a lot in the last ten years.  from cornel you head north a few miles to county road "M" heading west, nice twisty scenic road, to hwy 40, then down to bloomer, then home.  that was the plan......

well, there's always tomorrow, and i'll bring the camera!!

Hey BD Got out yesterday for the 3rd time this year. A couple of hours after the chores were done.Lucky to live in an area with tons of beaches. Made it to the north shore of Lake Erie,a small place called Pt Stanley with a great beach. Favourite place to ride after dinner.
See you on the road,Chrome

I have also been chomp ‘in at the bit to ride. This past January Lara suggested we buy me a new bike for my birthday.  Since she got her Victory last year, I’ve been looking at the Vic Cross Country’s. I found a new one in the same color as her Vegas (love that Midnight Cherry), and it’s been sitting in the garage ever since.  We took half the day off last Friday and put some miles on, and yesterday we got together with four of our friends and rode all afternoon…  What a rush!!!
Not giving up the Valks, but having choices is way cool.
