It looks like I have some leakage on the manifold O-rings on the cylinder head.  Can you replace these O-rings without pulling off the Carbs?

Can I order these from allorings.com?  What material and size of O-rings?

Honda part number is O-RING (2.4X29) 16075-GHB-B70.

Thanks
Ed

Yep, they come right off.. Its easy.. Remove the two retainers and loosen the clamps, they'll pull right out..
You can match the o-rings up at your friendly local hardware store, they are either #122 or #123, I forget which..

Some guys have reported that regular auto-parts or hardware store o-rings deteriorate fairly rapidly.  Check these out from Redeye.  Good reports on these and dealing with him is great.

For sure buy the Viton O-Rings....THe others from the hardware will go south of the border very fast.  Red eye is very good people to deal with.

Do the cheap ones from the hardware store go bad quickly ??  I didn't know that.. I replaced mine in '99 when I desmogged and smoothed the intakes.. I guess I won't mention it to them..  Roll Eyes

The Hardware O rings are usually Buna N material. Viton and silicone are rated for heat and petroleum distilates. My vitons are several years old and have never shown any leakage. They are a #123 in viton.

Just be careful that you don't pull the tube off from under the tank when you pull the intake tube out!

just ordered redeye's rings, I can see some leakage around the ones in the right bank only, but might as well change all 6, she's got 80K on her.
