My son who is an expert rider has taken my std out for a few short trips. He just took the bike out for a longer ride and came back with the following report :
- this bike is the sh*t (a positive verb) - is absolutely made for the highway - a beast w/ the power - very comfortable, more so than my GL1800
The only down side that he has is that is doesn't have "the sound", yes I have aftermarket pipes but he wants the Harley sound.
He was in a gas station yesterday and someone was absolutely googling over the bike. It's an attention getter.
I picked this beast up last fall as a second ride, looking forward to spending some time on it myself.

In my humble, but correct, opinion, "the" sound is the stock setup. Especially on the videos that everyone is making these days! Sounds like he's almost there! ;-) Jeff

Get a set of 6x6s and cut the down a bit. Take about a foot off. 4degree trigger wheel and rejetting. 38 pilots, 115 mains. Rebalance carbs at idle. Not 2 k rpms. See if that don't perk the sound and performance up a bit...

First time I heard my bike run, I was happy it didn't sound like a Harley or some other "me too" V-twin. I couldn't get over how much it sounded like a Porche, with a deep throated voice. I like my Two brothers exhaust. It sounds pretty good, and is not loud enough to give me a head ache.

Or you can put Cobra 6x6 shorties (never made for baffels) on her and really get sound that is an attention getter, but not too loud to ride. That's my girl!!
