With some input from my key advisors, and lacking time for a group discussion, I've made an executive decision.  I'm cancelling the Meet in the Middle ride on the 18th, and replacing it with a "Meet in Austin" ride on March 24.  A lot of people (myself included) really want to be in Austin for the celebration of Pat's life.  I don't want the Meet in the Middle to take away from that, thus the cancellation.

Details for the 24th are still pending, but depending on where you're coming from and the timing, it can be an AM ride in, PM ride home, or possibly an overnighter.  We'll wait for details and plan our attendance accordingly.
I don't think I need to encourage anyone to go, because I know how highly Pat was thought of around here, and I know a lot of people will attend, with or without my encouragement.

I have my calendar marked.  Would not want to miss the opportunity to honor Pat's remarkable life.

Please post details on the Main BBS when you have them... We would really like to make this, if I can work out the timing.  Thanks!

OK, I think that some plans for travel are coming together.  I will be traveling out on Friday, and staying with the in-laws Friday night.  However, HayHauler has told me that he will be traveling up on Saturday morning with Hotglue and FlamingoBabe.  They will leave the Friendswood/Pearland area early, and plan to meet anyone who cares to, at the gas station on the northern corner of 1488 and 290 (northeast bound side of 290, on the far side of 1488) at 8:30, with a KSU time of 9:00.  If you plan to meet them there, holler on this thread.  If no one hollers, they will probably adjust their departure time, and blow past 1488 without stopping.

I had wanted to ride up Friday evening, but work, I think, will prevent it. So Saturday morning it must be.

Did you mean McD's side, or the newer station on the opposite side..  regardless, bet I can recognize those bikes. Smiley

If I get caught out of town, I'll post Friday evening.  Thanks

Sure would like to meet y'all at 1488 Jimmy, but if this crud doesn't leave me alone, I'm doomed. I really want to make this event.

We will be glad to have you Eli. Get lots of rest.  I hope it isn't what BJ and I had a few weeks ago.  It lasts for at least 2 weeks.  Doesnt get real bad, just lingers.

Hope you can make it.
