We left the Big Red bunkhouse at midnight last night for the drive back to Houston. got to the airport at 4:15am for a 7:05am flight back to MPLS, landed at 9:20am.  what a trip, met some new VRCC members and got to see some old friends again. still can't get over the fact that Pat is gone. it has really been a hard 2 weeks to get through with out him, this is going to take some time.  A BIG THANK YOU! to all of you who felt that Pat was a special friend in your lives and came to show your support.

he will be missed dearly by many.

so this Thursday we will be heading back to Houston for GOTF, this is a FANTASTIC gathering of old friends and new ones, if you have never been to GOTF you are really missing a LARGE time.  T.P.

I left Leander about 11:30 this morning and rolled in about 5:00.  It was a nice day for a back roads route.

+1 on everything that's been said.

I Am privileged to have participated in the celebration of the home going of Laser Pat Jamail. Our prayers for the Healing of the Heart of Ms Deb and Family. It was good to see everyone I knew and good to meet others that I only knew by forum names.

600 hundred mile roundtrip, Salute to Laser Pat.

Denise and I just got in to the house at 7:15 pm all safe and sound. We really enjoyed the service and the ride for Pat. It was great to see all the people  that turned out to honor this man and his life. Thanks to Jimmy for leading the way to and from the event and to all who rode with us. See ya at the Hotglues this weekend. cooldude

I agree Eli...  Enjoyed seeing all my out of town friends again, just wish it was under better circumstances.

I rode in this afternoon around 5 p.m.

Pat ordered absolutely beautiful weather for the tribute this weekend.  Thanks Pat!

We got home about two hours ago.  Yesterday was a very big rollercoaster of a day.  As has been said, Pat ordered up some great weather for us.  That route was just about perfect.  Some relaxation, time for reflection, and some breathtaking views.  I would have rather been getting together for his birthday celebration, rather than this, but it was a great show of support and love for a great man.

I really wanted to be there . I d like to dedicate this song to Pat.
Life goes fast friend
and before youy know it
your old and gray with nothing to say
life, take it grab it run with it
make it what you want
make it what you need
make it good
make it fast
make it strong
make it last
but before all make it what you love

It was just incredible seeing all the folks who were able to make it down -- or up -- to Pat's Celebration!  I think Pat would have enjoyed every second of that special day!  His easy smile and "never met a stranger" attitude where definitely in attendance!

Thanks to everyone who helped out with everythingcooldude

FYI, I safely trailered Hildr the Valk back home to her garage...about 48 miles with some change.  This breaks Laser Pat's and mine dubious record of trailering our Valks 60 miles to an event...something we were secretly proud of...Wink

Safe Winds Laser Pat!
