I have that same belt on my Interstate and really enjoy having it. $50.00 for it in excellent condition is a great price too. I think I paid double that for mine. Don't wait or someone else will surely get it from under you.

All the best,

Well here is the story.

I won an auction on ebay for a tank belt.  That was back on Feb 20.  I never received the belt.  I have sent the guy several emails asking where the belt is....no answer.  So, yesterday I am doing a search on the part number he specified  and low and behold i find this listing in the Knoxville Tennessee Craigslist.  I contact the guy to see if he still has the belt and he responded this morning to say it was still available.   How do I know it is the same belt you say....it is the exact same picture he used in Ebay with the tag attached in the same location.  I have sent this fellow ,Dave Margetson, an email asking him to do the right thing and send me the belt.  We will see if he does.  If he doesn't I will have to take it up with Ebay, this I hope to avoid.

I am off on my vacation this afternoon for two weeks so I will give you an update when I return.

I do alot of ebay, but I will only pay with paypal.  If they will not accept paypal, I feel they are shady on ebay.  I have had to contact paypal though, and they reversed money to me on a couple different items that where either junk when they showed up and advertised as new, or never showed up.

Paypal cuts you off after a while, they're like drug dealers... google "paypal sending limit"... the
solution is to "link your bank account" to them (W+f?) or get a credit card from them.

Sigh...

Many sellers won't deal with you if you don't have paypal... a perfectly good Cobra rear
brake reservoir cover just sold for $50, but the seller wouldn't let me bid on it... hope one
of y'all got it...

Mike, do you want one of these?

If so, I think I have one.  I'll have to check the parts bin.

I would happily buy it from you, but remember, we talked about this at Wytheville: I
don't need one, I'm one of those selfish people "bwa-ha-ha-ha" who wants
to have  a second one, in case the chrome flakes off the one I have now...  cooldude

Only vague recollections (after 12 hours).  LOL

I was doing alot of selling on Paypal, so i have a business account, and can accept credit card payments or however it needs to be done.  I also have the Paypal master card linked to my paypal account (great way to get the money back off your paypal!)

I have had to file issues with them, and they have been all handled correctly.  Some took a while, but all got dealt with.

I think I can't send any money, anyhow, with my paypal account. If someone gave me a
paypal gift card, it would be worthless to me, since my "sending limit" is reached.

I guess I'm just a curmudgeon about them telling me I have to get one of their credit
cards. I've got one VISA card, the only one I've ever had, and it is the only one I want.

As far as "linking my bank account" to them, well that just sounds )(*^&%$ crazy.
Might as well fill out a power-of-attorney form and leave it in the parking lot
of Wal-Mart for some stranger to find...  Wink

Mine has been linked to my bank account for several years now.... I think this paypal account is 6 years old, and i linked it to my account right away.  I was not aware there was a spending limit, I bought a jeep with paypal, and spent the next week buying parts for it.  I bet there was 3k in a 2 week time period.  Both Paypal and my bank called to verify that it was me doing it, and since my wifes name and number are also on the bank account, they called her and asked her if she was aware.
My wife also works at the bank, and everything that she has seen on the banking side makes Paypal look as legit as any other company that you pay your bills to.  We also use direct draft for most of our bills. Never had an issue with anything going wrong, but both of us check the accounts a couple times a day on the watch.

Such language!  Angry      Given the fairly extensive history of people that have had problems, I agree completely.   cooldude
