Is there a correct position for fuel sender unit install? To front of tank or to rear? Thanks.

the wire harness points
rearwards
putting the sending unit in the rt side of the tank. so it swings from top front down to bottom of tank
NOTE: the Gentlemen below are correct. i pulled two sending units out of my stash of parts. i modified my response in red to reflect my big dumbassedness !! sorry

the wire harness points forward putting the sending unit in the rt side of the tank. so it swings from top front down to bottom of tank
And that orientation has the wires exit to the back of the tank.

Tank, I think you have it backwards....or I'm reading you wrong. With the tank in front of you upside down(bottoms up) on a towel or blanket, as I recall the harness should feed/point toward the rear of the tank.
