I work in a specialized type of flooring, and most jobs usually call for a various amounts of heavy materials and equipment.  From time to time, I do get the call to do a smaller job.  Also, these jobs can be a distance from where I live.  Usually, the E350 diesel is the vehicle of choice-

A smaller job came up, about 220 miles from home base.  Diesel is now $4.10 a gallon and rising fast.  tickedoff  What to do? Lets see, dont need much stuff, a long way to go.  .  . .  .I think i will ride my bike to work!

Had an old job box that was not being used, and the trailer chassis in the woods, a little cutting and welding.  .  .  .  .  not too bad!  cooldude

A removable tongue with a wheel for the front makes it easy to roll into the job!    Wink
I love it when I can make something out of nothing!  Smiley

Taking the cycle makes sense now that gas is around 4 bucks per gallon.  Anytime I can if not raining or snowing out or below 40 degrees, I will take the cycle over my tundra getting 17-18 mpg at best.

Thanks for the kudos!  Smiley Got to say, this tows real nice, dont even know its back there! Averaged about 25 mpg, not too bad considering I may have had the hammer down!  Lips Sealed Stopped at the west side of Mille Lacs Lake for this picture- then went around the north side of the lake (scenic and not direct way home)!

Was a nice day at work/ riding the Valk!  cooldude

Alph- You have good taste in color.  Grin  Sorry, dont do wood floors, am in terrazzo flooring. Wink

This is cool, but the tongue that allows you to wheel it into the building is extra cool.

Tundra, thx for the comments on the house, we really like living here.  I have a friend who does log work who did the porch(es).  They are my favorite rooms to be in.  Especially this time of year with the sounds of the springtime! Sandhill cranes, geese, tree frogs etc.  cooldude

And, you are correct, sir!  Wink   Nice flooring, too! I like mother of pearl!

The pics dont do it justice, but ya get the idea!
