darkside tire psi

Do you guys have any input concerning the perfect psi for a darkside tire, I have a 99 valk tourer.

I've been enjoying 30 psi lately. I've run from 38 and down before settling at 30.

I think the psi primarily has to do with the tire you run. I have a Federal 205/55/16 and run mine at 41, running in the 20's feels like a flat tire. Others here run in the low 30's/high 20's are feel it's good for them. Best bet is to experiment til you find your sweet spot.

I started out at 40 psi and rode that way for about 500 miles, just to get some breakin mileage. Then I let the tire down 2 lbs at a time and rode each pressure for some miles. Went as low as 30 lbs and found the best ride and handling at 36lbs. It took a while, but I ride at least 80 miles a day to and from work,so not so bad. You will know what feels good to you.

I've run a Bridgestone Potenza G019 at 34psi for about 2 years and now have about 35,000 miles on it.

Depends on the tire.
As a rule with all my bikes. Ive ended up in the 32-36 range in the rear.
I try to get a Light Truck tire if possible. NOT a CT. Light truck tires have much stiffer sidewalls then CTs.
Fronts, I use rear tires and run them pretty low as they carry no where even close to the load they are meant to..
28-32 psi with no cupping issues ever.

IO know nothing about having a car tire on my Valk, but as for figuiring out a good pressure to run on any non standard tire / vehicle combination.....
You could always use a stripe of chalk across the tire, ride it down the block until the chalk starts to wear, keeping an eye on how it wears. your goal is to get even wear across the tire, adjusting the pressure up or down... between the other great advice above and checking the chalk wear you have two ways to get close and from there you can go on how it rides...

YMMV
