I never was for or against tats, just never got any of my own ink.  Then one day at work my daughter-in-law shows up, and has to have an early C/Section.  I was the first assistant on the surgery, and I did 99% of the case while the surgeon watched me deliver my grandson and then close his mommy up.  Everything went perfectly, he is 6 1/2 years old now and has close to 20,000 miles as a passenger on my bikes.  I now proudly wear a tattooed portrait of him when he was about 6 months old on my shoulder.  I have 2 sons, and each of my grandchildren will have their faces inked onto my shoulders and arms, one arm for each of my sons where I will proudly display my grandkids.

I'm with fudgie and popeye, I like them. I have 7 at this point although one of them was 3 sittings( half sleeve ) I like them alot although way back when( under coughing breath 1984 ) I said I would only get one the panther head that 3 of my uncles have. Well I guess I missed on that one and planning on more. my two sons have them in fact my oldest has a boat load more than I. And girls with tats major turn on. At this point for me though, I have mine done in a fashion that I can hide every one of them, not that I am ashamed but I still do some things that out of respect for those that may be around this way they are not uncomfortable.

  And like Fudgie also said, I have been exposed to things due to work firefighter/paramedic more than I have been getting my tattoos.

 But to those that don't have I totally respect your decisions for not having them....
