Went to a wake for the older brother of one of my good high school friends just a few hours ago

He had MS for many many years, he always thought he got it working around heavy metals his first job out of HS for chrommalloy (sp?) He was maybe 5'8 or so his brothers were 6'5  6'8 and 6'11
but he was without doubt the ladies man of the family

When I was a gawky skinny kid he was the older very cool guy with a car, great girl friends and always
went out of his way to speak to me, the new kid in town from the city, To me he was like the FONZ

a classy dude to the end

He had a heart attack  checked out quick

And I think he went out the way he wanted as he was just about to be needing a wheelchair to get around

He would refuse help walking but you could be next to him so if he was falling he would never hit the ground and would not curse you out, just carry on and never complained about his luck.

Stubborn, incredible guts he had to have been sick well over 20 years or more.

Told his son a NYPD officer (there were dozens of NYPD there in Tappan about a mile from the GW headquarters is where the funeral home was) some stories of his dad and my friends added some more

RIP  Ian Colvin

Took the Valk out when I got home and rode too fast till the gnats were far behind me
