In good ol Aussie land
The pollies have lost the plot
The most recent brain fart that has been released is that They want 24/7 school zones.
But thats not all folks.
They want them to be at 30 KLM/HR, thats about 16MPH

Now just to be totally clear here, the Guvment wants all school zones to be 24 hours a day
Even when there are no kids around
and they want it 7 days a week, even when the kids are not at school
and they want it at 30 klm/hr.

Now, in good ol Aussie, we have more school zones than pollies perks.
within a mile of Every educational centre is considered a school zone, even if the school/ educational centre is not on the raod where the school zone is located.

To add insult to the injury, no , matter what educational facility it is or who it caters for, it is considered a school zone.
SO...
Kindergarten..........OK
Primary school.........OK
High school.............You would think the kids had some sense by now not to walk on the road.
University...............What the hell are we teaching our young adults? or are we breeding idiots, surely they know not to walk on the road as a uni student?
TAFE (Technical and Further Education) ......OMG Even people who have already graduated are too dum to not know that they will be killed if the walk on the road?????

I guess there is no hope for Auistralia.
No matter where we go in the world we will be killed, because we dont know enough to KEEP OUT OF THE WAY OF VEHICLES.

WOW! that's pretty strict!!  around here, the roads around the imediate school buildings have a 15mph limit, that is ONLY when children are present, and by the way, it doesn't only mean on school days, thats even if a kid is just walking down the sidewalk on a sunday, by the school.  (that's what i was told)

It would be interesting to see that actual facts that lead to this draconian policy.

IE
How many kids were killed before school zones were introduced.

How many are killed now.

My humble idea is that there is little if any change, but the revenue will be quite benificial to any cash strapped money wasting governbment
