I participated in a couple threads recently regarding poly shock bushings. If you don't know, I purchased a set from Gary only to find out the next day he passed away. But his email address is being tended to and the poly bushings are still available for now. Please follow the usual links to get them as I'd rather not list his email address here.

My bushings were shipped out Monday from WA and were delivered to me in Chicago on Wednesday. My bike is a 99 Interstate with only 15,000 miles on it. My stock upper shock bushings were shot. One was elongated and torn halfway through and the other was elongated and looking like it would tear this season. I installed Gary's bushings right away and they went in very easy.

Between yesterday and today I've been able to put about 200 miles on my Interstate. I HAD a front end wobble/shimmy/shake sometimes around 40mph to 45mph. That wobble/shimmy/shake is now all but gone! I've intentionally ridden at the speeds I used to get the shake and it just doesn't do it anymore. I don't completely understand how worn upper rear shock bushings can cause a wobble but they sure can. I'm so glad that issue now seems behind me! I was thinking I'd have to remove all but the front forks to tighten the steering stem nut. For now anyway, that plan is on hold.

Poly rear shock bushings are also available here: http://www.xf6-custom.com/

All the best,

Mark

Thanks for the update.. Its good to see the Gary's products are still out there..
I think many 'wobble' issues are attributed to bad tires or steering bearings without giving much thought to the rear shocks..
