Welcome, Pete.  QOTFU has a great idea - don't put off your first GOTF for another year.  If you do, I promise you'll wind up regretting it sooner or later.

Welcome to Texas!  I too am a transplant.  I'm just south of you and just north of San Antonio.  Hopefully we can meet up and RIDE someday.  I love touring around the Hill Country.

Howdy Pete!  Glad you found us!  The VRCC CenTex chapter welcomes you!  We get together for fun and meet occasionally for breakfast out in the beautiful Hill Country.  Check this board for notices and feel free to send me a personal message!  I'm just southwest of you near Driftwood.

If you can make the GOTF this weekend, it will be well worth your time!  A group of us CenTexers will be heading out Friday afternoon.

See you on the road!

Charlie

Just a warning - one does not turn down an invitation from the Queen.  If you don't believe me, just PM "Duct Tape". Cheesy

What else can you tell us about yourself?  Have you been lurking for a while or just find us? Did you see Geezer's Craigslist-ing?  Just wondering how you came to be on the Texas forum.

Welcome to the sane part of the VRCC forum.  The general board is a place to go and visit, but you wouldn't want to live there!

Looking forward to sharing wind with you in the future.

Welcome to the asylum there Pete!  You're gonna like it here...... like you have a choice!  Now that the fat girl has selected you to ride her, you are stuck for the rest of your life.  Smiley

Like RM says, the General Board is called the "Sand Box" for a reason.

I'm flying out on Sat to Nevada to get my Bike i'll leave there on the  4/5 or 4/6 to come back , have to make stops to visit people in
Phoenix and tucson may not get back to austin until sunday!
Would have loved to make the GOTF, now dumb question , what and where is it?
i was on the Nevada VRCC board for years abd started a "bike night " in Pahrump NV years ago!
I work 70 hrs a week here , so really only have Sundays to ride!
I just basically like to cruise along, i don't ride fast anymore ,seem to enjoy the ride more that way!
Look forward to meeting most of you folks , maybe this year! Pete

Hi moved here (Austin) last year from Nevada, going back next week to ride my Red and White back , hope i don't hit rain, lol! any ways just saying Hi! Pete the Greek

My first rain experiance was coming back from a rally in Albuquerque with a couple of guys from the club and it rained from Santa Rosa New Mexico to Amarillo! It didn't slow those guys down so I just hung with them. Too much sphincter exercise!!!! There are plenty of us that like to slow cruise - with occasional full rolls on the throttle just because we can.  Grin

Welcome to a great group of folks!

Welcome to the Greatest State in the Union (now that ought to start something)...  pretty much get to ride all year.

I got selected a little over a year ago and have thoroughly enjoyed it.

The only thing better than the information you'll get here are the folks who you will get it from.

Enjoy,

We could always cross post over to the national board. I'm sure Strong Eagle or Anvil would chime in.  Evil
