168 folk have signed up..... I know a few have said they can't make it.... but ...with thoses that are singed up.. and locals that are comin' Well ... I brought in an extra BBQ pit.. seems when I built mine.... it just wasn't BIG enough...LOL
So this year we are cookin' 24 briskets.... at least 30 chickens... and a bunch of sasuage.... hopefullly we won't run out..... doubling the amount of chickens and sausage this year.... Kinda embarassing to run out when folk travel this far for some Q...
Come early... Stay Late... Get all the Q ya want.... Eat all ya take!!!
Man!!!! I'm gettin' Excited..... Nope... Ain't skeered....
See Yall this weekend!!!!!!!

I soooo wish we could get there, but we cannot  someday...someday! But wishing you all that do go a great trip there and back  I know Hotglue and Flamingobabe will take good care of ya's! Can't wait to see some pics of everyone! |

BigMac and Dick from SoCal VRCC are on their way! They hit Tucson last night and plan on pokin around a little in the Texas hills on the way to your casa. Everybody have TOO much fun then let the rest of us in on the festivities! 'Q! mmmmmm!!

I now know why I got up this morning feeling rotten.
People are going to the 'Q' and again this year, I can't make it. due to unavailability in finding an O2 supplier that can handle my needs while parked in Hotglue's back yard..
Then also there is a firkin wedding my son and his bride have to attend, per grandma and momma. Told the Bride this morning she was expendable. She just grinned and said we ain't married yet, we is just a practicin. I never went any further.
They have lived together for 7 years and in Iowa I think that constitutes a common-law wife.
I had a damn Motorhome pretty much lined up when the wedding BS started. It is the Bride's older brother and this will be his 3rd try at it. I met the 3rd one night before last, and you know them 1st impressions, I predict she won't last very long. She is a bossy SOB. Never a kind word to anyone. She even runs Alan down in front of his family. I is afraid, she would be wearing a size 10 boot up her ass.

Well, the sad news is it's looking more and more like I won't be riding to the GOTF...
The good news is I'll be there... With the whole family...
But it also looks like I'll hafta suffer the ultimate humiliation of riding in a minivan to a motorcycle gathering but, if that's what it takes to get the spousal unit to be willing to come and bring everyone, then so be it, that's what I'll do...

Well hanging out in San Antonio had some Mex at the market square walked around for awhile and now going down stairs at the hotel for kick back time snacks and drinks on the house from 5:30 to 7.

Wish I did not have to cancel. I called the motel to cancel my reservation, and I DID NOT have a reservation! Made it shortly after GOTF was announced, but they have no record of it. You may want to recheck yours!
